SAP Labs Bulgaria, as one of the leading development centers of SAP, strongly supports the SAP University Alliances program (UA) in its goal to equip graduates with considerable knowledge and practical skills, adding immediate value to any company they choose for their future professional development.

The Lab was happy to welcome 17 university professors from 3 renowned universities in Bulgaria to the UA Introduction week that was held in the period 27 -31 May.

The Introduction week was long-anticipated event for Ruse University and Plovdiv University who joined SAP University Alliances program in 2012. Each of the two new member institutions was represented by six professors who were eager to explore for the first time SAP ERP training environment and also learn about teaching opportunities provided by SAP University Alliances program.

The third university to participate was Technical University of Sofia, who is - a UA member since 2006. Technical University of Sofia is currently successfully using its ERP client at one of its faculties, but has decided to spread and further unitize training opportunities on SAP solutions for students at another four faculties.

During day 4 of the training Dimitar Dimitrov – VP at SAP Labs Bulgaria gave an exhiting exciting presentation on SAP’s leading new product SAP HANA. Being a member of SAP’s R&D family, Dimitar gave his valuable insider’s view on important IT trends and the business demand for in-memory solutions. The attendees were inspired to look for more knowledge and anticipate great future for SAP HANA as the innovative business platform of tomorrow.

We would like to thank Dr. Vojislav Marjanović from Univerzitet Singidunum in Beograd, Serbia, who was our leading trainer at this event  for his guidance and dedication. Dr. Marjanovic  introduced the participants to SAP ERP navigation, basic modules and provided his assistance all through the learning material and practical exercises. He also shared valuable experience of teaching ERP to students.

Associate Professor Marin Georgiev

Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Management

Technical University of Sofia

The Technical University of Sofia joined SAP University Alliances seven years ago and introduced SAP learning units in several courses, mainly in the faculties of mechanical and industrial engineering. Now we extend the implementation of SAP education in more faculties. SAP University Alliances Introduction Week contributed greatly to the motivation of newly involved teaching staff.

Technical University of Sofia appreciates the sustainable support by SAP Labs Bulgaria for further enhancement of SAP University Alliances program in Bulgaria for the practical preparation of the next generation of trainers and new ways in the collaboration with the universities.

SAP UA training course was a great experience. We were introduced to comprehensive business solutions, implemented in the software.  Immersed in the company atmosphere, we are happy that we could feel what it is to be a part of a world software leader, build by professionals for professionals. Thanks to SAP University Alliances we hope in the future there will be new interesting business software courses available to students.

Ruse University

The UA introductory training was one of the most useful initiatives I have attended recently. After the end of the training week I was really confident that our university could successfully implement the SAP ERP system in its educational programs for the benefit of our students.
