The web conference with Dr. Bjarne Berg, the data analysis expert who run the creation of data banks and solution implementation systems for Fortune 500 firms and the co-author of «SAP HANA: An Introduction» bestseller, was organized as a part of Russian enlightening project Knowledge Stream aimed to educate the diversified audience on the hottest IT-trends.
Hosted by SAP office in the Netherlands, Dr. Berg (born in Norway and lecturing at the Lenoir Rhyne College, USA) presented his vision on big data future to CIS-based engineers, startupers, faculty staff and students. He explained how and why success on the market more and more depends on the ability to readily extract necessary information from huge sums of data, and also discussed the relevant technology and tools [SAP HANA options] that were created to serve those purposes.
The internationally-plotted event happened thanks to joint efforts of UA CIS and NL teams. Kudos to Martin Gollogly and Ilse Moret for friendly reaction on short notice and great partnership. Special gratitude to Dr. Berg who contributed his time and expertise without honorarium.
The Dr. Berg's lecture was continued by face-to-face discussion with Russian big data experts from banking, aerospace and data analysis areas. 300+ venue visitors got an opportunity to argue and ask questions live.
