First, I watched this YouTube video provided by SAP's In Product Education team:

I drag a panel component over to the application

Drag some text boxes over. 

Enter the code at start-up so it shows in your application - this example will show the created by user

I enter more data source code, to display the data source

Review your application

Run the application

You can see it displays the created by user (me) and the datasource.
