Continuing my blogs from this week, I would like to highlight a few of the 40+ customer presentations which are planned at the SAP Manufacturing Industry CVN Forum scheduled for June 25 – 26 in Chicago.  This event is specifically designed to bring together Manufacturing Companies from several industries to explore and discuss how they have approached innovation to their operations.   This two day event mixes sessions on best practices with Customer led sessions focused on individual customer experiences.  These are the sessions scheduled in the mid-afternoon:

  • Sulzer Streamlines Communication of Operational Information Between Management and the ShopFloor Using SAP MII  -  Michael Tobin , VP Equipment Operations, Sulzer Metco with partner Dell
  • Shop–Floor to Top-floor with SAP MII at Infinera - Hoy Yergera, Senior SAP Manager, Infinera with partner Intrigo
  • Medline Industries- Supply Chain Optimization & Impact of Infusing Big Data Technologies - Dave Marcelletti, Director of Supply Chain Planning, Medline Industries with partner HCL
  • SAP Sourcing / Contract Lifecycle Management at Lennox - Jeff Hammon, Lennox Corporation
  • Optimizing Product Innovation and Improving Compliance and Safety at Colgate-Palmolive - Robyn Mandalakis, Global Information Technology, Colgate-Palmolive
  • Customer Service Excellence at Yaskawa America, Inc. with BCM and CRM - Cris Franco, Manager, Technical Call Center
  • Improving Customer Collaboration and Vendor Managed Inventory at R J Reynolds Tobacco Company with SAP SNC Robby Robertson, SCM Information Analyst, RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company

I suggest that anyone who is exploring change in their Manufacturing operations should investigate attending this forum.  Rarely are so many companies in the same place at the same time dedicated and focused on discussing, networking and learning about the latest tools and approaches for innovation in Manufacturing processes.
