I have cleared my SAP HANA Professional Certification & would like to share my experiences in this blog  with the sap community

This certification tests your Hands on knowledge on SAP HANA. This is more for Solution Architects & consultants who had practical experience in all different areas of  HANA. This is based on HANA SPS05.

My Experience Background on SAP HANA :

I am a SAP HANA Distingished Engineer . ( Please refer to the link for more details on this program ) http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-32891 . I have been working on SAP HANA for more than 2 years . We are one of the early adopters & have already implemented around 8 Datamart projects & 1 BW on HANA implementation till date . I have also cleared the other two Associate  certifications ( C_HANAIMP_1 & C_HANATEC_1) on HANA  but would rate the HANA Professional certification as the best till date . It  tests your practical experience by going to very granular details

Note : This blog gives you information about the certification & it doesn’t guarantee the questions/topics which I have mentioned below would be part of the certification .

Please find attached link which gives more details on the certification

      Hi Raghu ,

I beleive you need to take a Official SAP Training inorder to take the certification  in India . I tried to take the Hanatec_1 exam in banglore when i came to india on vacation ( July 2012) but they told that i need to take a official training in order to take the exam in their prometric center . In USA , It is not mandatory to  take the training if you want to take the certification . May be some one from SAP education can clarify if there is any other way

      Thanks,

      Kiran .

      Hi Raghu,

If you are working and have 6 months of experience in HANA then you can appear for Certification.. you need to contact SAP and get a letter from your Company that you have been working on HANA for so so time

You can also try to nominate yourself for Certification in SAP Teched through your company

Other option is to take training and get certified but its very costly

    Congratulations Kiran!

Excellent summary of target profile, exam coverage, and prep options. Other HANA seniors should feel encouraged to get certified when reading this.

    Hi Kiran,

    congratulations for passing the certification.

Do you know why there is such a huge passing score gap compared to 80 percent or more several years ago? Is this just HANA specific or the general requirement nowadays?

    Regards

    Stefan
