Yesterday, June 08, 2013 at the SAP Labs Palo Alto campus we started the Silicon Valley Startup Weekend, sponsored of course...by SAP

This time...I'm not there as an organizer, staff or coach...I'm there as a participant  Which means...code, hack and fun...and BTW...this is my very first Startup Weekend ever

We started the evening around 6:00pm when people started to come in...

As a warm up, we formed groups...we were assigned two words, and the team leader had 60 seconds to pitch our idea...

As a funny thing, we were all give white t-shirts, so we need to write down our skills...so everybody was aware of who was who at the time of team formation...here's mine

The event organizers present themselves and welcome us to the event...

Anne Hardy took a few words on the stage  and then presented Nuno Sebastiao, CEO of FeedZai.

After that...the real pitching started...people had 60 seconds to present the ideas that might be elected to become projects for the weekend...

After the pitched ended, we had 3 post-its that we must place on our favorite "soon to be" projects...

After that...around 15 ideas were selected...Ok...maybe less...I was tired...so I don't remember very well

With the "ideas" selected...people start to join and formed teams...developers, designers, project managers...all together for the greater good

We left around 12:00pm...and people were still there very engaged...today is Day 2...where we're going to start building the prototypes...so the real fun is just about to begin

Stay tuned for my next blog on this awesome event
