New in Analysis Office 1.4 – Displaying Time-Dependent Hierachies

From the What’s New” Guide for Analysis Office 1.4 available at help.sap.com it states

“For time-dependent hierarchies, you can specify whether all time-dependent hierarchies for a dimension should be

available in the design panel or only the hierarchy for a selected period. To display all time-dependent hierarchies

for a dimension, select the Show All Time-Dependent Hierarchies in Analysis Tab check box in the Advanced

Settings dialog”

So to try it out go to Settings > Advanced Settings and select “Show All Time-Dependent Hierarchies in Analysis Tab”

Then, review the Display Panel and you see Message Component, which is time-dependent, now has the valid-to date next to it.

A prerequisite to this, of course, is that your characteristic/info object must be flagged as such back in BW:
