Express Configuration:
To prepare SAP Business One for use at a company, you must configure various settings, such as accounting, inventory, business partners, sales, and purchasing. Express configuration assists you in configuring company databases by providing a wizard that guides you through the essential settings for each area. In addition, you can compare previous configuration settings so that you can detect changes to a configuration, which may cause errors in the application.
You can use express configuration to:
Procedure
Creating a New Company Using the Express Configuration Wizard
Log on to SAP Business One and choose the Change Company button.
In the Choose Company window, from the New dropdown list, choose New Using Wizard.
In the Site User window, specify the site user ID and password.
The Express Configuration Wizard appears.
In the Welcome window, choose Next.
In the Creating a New Company window, make the required settings and choose Next. For more information, see Express Configuration: Creating a New Company
SAP Business One creates a new company with the company details you specified.
When prompted, enter a password for the new company.
In the SAP Business One End-User License Agreement window, specify the relevant data and choose I Accept.
The express configuration wizard appears. You can continue configuring the company database by going through the wizard step-by-step, as described starting with step 2 of the section Configuring an Existing Company Using the Express Configuration Wizard below.
Configuring an Existing Company Using the Express Configuration Wizard
From the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose Administration --- > System Initialization ---> Implementation Center ---> Implementation Tasks .
The Implementation Tasks window appears.
Click Configure Company Settings.
The Express Configuration Wizard appears.
In the Welcome window, choose Next.
Configure the required settings in the following windows:

Express Configuration: Step 2 - Defining Currencies and Exchange Rate Postings
Express Configuration: Step 2 - Defining the Chart of Accounts
Express Configuration: Step 2 - Determining G/L Accounts and Tax
Express Configuration: Step 2 - Defining the Inventory System
Express Configuration: Step 3 - Banking
Express Configuration: Step 4 - Business Partners
Express Configuration: Step 5 - Inventory
Express Configuration: Step 6 - Sales and Purchasing
Express Configuration: Step 6 - Sales and Purchasing
Express Configuration: Step 7 - Users
To finalize the configuration, choose Finish.
The application saves the settings, which you can view in the configuration report. To open the report, click the hyperlink in the final step of the wizard.
Managing Company Configurations-
With the express configuration feature, you can save the current company database configuration, compare the configuration with a former configuration, or compare two existing configurations.
You can generate different reports that show the details of the current configuration and existing configurations or comparisons thereof. The comparisons can help you to detect changes to a configuration, which may have caused errors in the operation of SAP Business One.
The Configuration Management window appears.
The application saves the configuration settings.

The Current Configuration Report window appears, which shows information about the current configuration.
The Configuration Management window appears.
The Saved Configuration Report window appears, which shows information about the selected configuration.
The Configuration Management window appears.
The Configuration Comparison Report window appears, which shows information about the current and previous configurations.
The Configuration Management window appears.
The Configuration Comparison Report window appears, which shows information about the two selected configurations.
