SFTP – Certificate and Troubleshooting – Guide for Seeburger – Adapter

Hello,

in recent years, the SFTP-protocol has become an important piece in the B2B area. Therefor Seeburger had already provided an adapter for PI several years ago.

Although there is also an option existing now to use the SAP SFTP-Adapter which is shipped with PI, there is still a large customer base existing for the Seeburger-Adapter.

With this blog, I want to provide you again with a “HowTo” – Guide that has been created based on the experience of Seeburger-Consultants in various projects. It is not complete but covers many different issues that you might encounter with certificates in your SFTP- Setup.

Please be aware: This document does not replace the SFTP-Adapter-Documentation but should be used like an additional FAQ – Reference.

It is not an “official” document but will also be updated with feedback provided in this blog.

The following (temporary) Link allows for viewing and downloading the document (as pdf).

https://mft.seeburger.de:443/portal-seefx/~public/205e84e3-2568-4d10-a133-9f53a18240ef?download

Let me know if you encounter any difficulties. Looking forward to your feedback.

      Hi Stefan,

I'm working EDI 214 interface for UPS and this inbound into SAP where Seeburger converts the EDI to XML. But I have not been able to convert the file into XML as its saying "There is no attachment to split. So there is nothing to do" is the message that I'm getting.

We are using File adapter instead of AS2 for this scenario.

Here is the Module Configuration that has been used which is working for other transactions like 810...etc.

      bic classifierAttID additionalInfo
      bic classifierMappingID additionalInfo
      bic destSourceMsg MainDocument
      bic destTargetMsg MainDocument
      bic mappingName AUTO
      bic split true
      classifier attID additionalInfo
      classifier classifierMappingID TM
      classifier destSourceMsg MainDocument
      classifier showInAuditLog true

Here is the sample file that has been used for this purpose:

      Hello,

the message means that the BIC could not successfully translate the 214 to the XML_214 version and therefor the MessageSplitter could not find a valid "attachment"

Please confirm also that a valid mapping for the 214 is existing in your bic environment.

      Kind Regards

      Stefan

For further questions it would be great to open a new thread in SCN since this blog refers to SFTP-Troubleshooting....
