Adding Custom Quality Dimensions in SAP IS 4.1 Data Insight

Hello Users,

There are some predefined Quality Dimensions are there in SAP IS Data Insight like Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency etc. that restrict user to create rule only under these Quality Dimensions and restrict to setup scorecard only using these QDs.

But we can create Custom Quality Dimensions that will provide more flexibility to your development.

Advantage to add custom quality dimension:

  1. Rules distinguishing on the basis of required dimension like column names, so for each column we can define separate rules and setup a scorecard on the columns.
  2. We can setup a custom scorecard as per requirement.

Here are the steps to add custom quality dimensions.

Step 1: Go to Manage>Custom Attributes on right upside of the Workspace Home

Step 2: Above step will show you below Custom Attribute Window. There you can see predefined Quality Dimensions. Now Click on the valid values highlighted box
