While in Dubai on business, a friend of mine stopped to use an ATM in a mall. Imagine his surprise when, as he walked away, the machine began following him. Recently, Emirates NBD launched a campaign called The Awesome Traveling Machine to underline the bank’s easy accessibility, emphasizing that an Emirates NBD ATM is ”always where customers are.” Here’s a video capturing customer reactions as they find themselves strolling the mall with an ATM in tow.
Emirates NBD has the largest ATM network in the country and offers a wide range of services including check and cash deposits, bill payments, credit and debit card activation, mobile number update, transfers between accounts, and online and mobile banking registration, all of which are targeted at improving the customer experience. According to Rick Pudner, CEO, customers are the reason for the bank’s success. It is crucial, therefore, to find “new ways to further improve customer experience while building on values of innovation, service excellence, integrity, and passion for performance.” (Taken from the 2012 Annual Report.)
