This is the last weekend to submit your ASUG abstract to TechEd Las Vegas.  As a customer and non-developer, I’ve had the honor to present at TechEd before.  When I first did it, I totally lacked confidence; I am not technical, I am not a developer.  Yet with the great encouragement of Susan Keohan and Thorsten Franz I submitted and presented.  I had great technical help from the AV team on-site in Las Vegas, who told me afterwards they listened to my presentation and even repeated back to me what I said – yes, they did listen.

The SAP TechEd team is always helpful and will take care of you.  If you haven’t spoken before, last year the SAP TechEd team provided a series of videos to help you prepare.  This is for non-SAP speakers only.

What if you are not using the “latest and greatest”?  ASUG is looking for real-world stories and advice that can be used today.

What about Las Vegas?  Last year I paid only $6 from the airport to the hotel – where else is transportation so cheap?  Where else can you visit a 4 story M&M store, or the Statue of Liberty in jelly beans?

See Why Community Members attend SAP TechEd – this video is 3 years old and still holds up:

The TechEd fun doesn’t end after TechEd as there is Virtual TechEd, which is a great benefit.

Don’t miss this last chance to submit – I can’t help but think of the late great Donna Summer song:

The deadline to submit is this weekend.

I hope the SAP TechEd photographer has your picture speaking:

    Tammy-

Thank you for your contributions to the SAP community.  I always enjoy reading your articles.  I took note of your encouragement for other members of the community to submit an abstract for speaking at TechEd.  I was attempting to submit an abstract over the weekend and ran into a technical error.  The form told me to pick a sub-track…and no matter which one I picked, it told me to pick one, ugh!  So I wasn’t able to submit a proposal.  I promptly emailed saptechedspeaker.info@sap.com but did not receive a response and now it shows that window for submitting a proposal has passed.  Do you have any advice on who I might call?  Or another way to get a response from SAP?  I’m very interested in speaking and it seems silly to have some random technical issue stop me from pursing this opportunity.

    Thanks for your help!

ps.  I am posting the comment again without the email address because my previous comment was hidden…I assume because it included an email address.

Shawn – the team working the SAP TechEd speaker account is on the west coast, so please be patient and wait for their response.

If you haven’t heard back by tomorrow, please advise.

      Thank you for your interest.

      Regards,

      Tammy

Sad it took me SO long to catch up on this great post.  How can anyone not love a community that shouts out to Donna Summer? I’m just sad we didn’t get the chance to lure her to TechEd as the supreme concert.

Thanks Tammy for being a big part of the heart and soul that makes the SAP ecosystem so special.  I hope to catch all of your sessions in Vegas this year 🙂
