Crystal Reports 2013 Installation Update Steps

Crystal Reports 2013 is the new name for Crystal Reports 2011 and comes with BI4.1.

Those of us using Crystal Reports against SAP ERP will still need Crystal Reports if you using Embedded Analytics or directly against SAP ERP tables.  Otherwise you could use Crystal Reports for Enterprise.

Another surprise for me was I couldn’t run this on my old XP machine.  The minimum operating system it requires is Windows 7 SP1.

Once I got past this, everything went fine.

At first I failed on the Windows version.

Agree, the lack of support for XP will still be an issue for another 300+ days, but I guess SAP isn't expecting a lot of customer up-take in that time as Crystal Reports 2013 is still in "Ramp Up".

I haven't done a FULL-PACKAGE install of Crystal Reports 2013 yet, but I found the Upgrade and Patch Packages took a LONG time to unzip, execute and process (Almost an hour)

Did you find that with the FULL-PACKAGE too...?

No, I thought it all went fairly fast, compared to before...I used SAP Download Manager and it worked great this time.
