Consider SAP TechEd an important part of your professional development.
Here’s why:
SAP TechEd is the premier technical education conference for IT architects, administrators, and developers – offering a comprehensive education on SAP technologies for in-memory computing, database, mobile, analytics, and cloud. The program includes hands-on workshops, demo-driven lectures, and Q&A sessions on the latest developments in SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver, SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence, SAP Sybase offerings, and more. You can check out details about the tracks being offered this year at the conference website. The session catalog will be published coming this June.
SAP TechEd is the SAP Community Network Personified
SAP TechEd is the best place to make valuable connections with your peers and some of the best experts in the industry – and SAP Community Network is the best place to interact with these connections before and after the event. If you’ve never before attended an SAP TechEd event, read about conference highlights from SAP Community Network members. If you’ve attended in the past, share your experience with others on the SAP TechEd Space on SCN. Some of the most memorable blogs from 2012 include some outstanding contributions like:
- SAP TechEd Las Vegas 2012 in pictures by Matthias Wild
- The Way of the Developer by Matthias Steiner
- Empathy + Serendipity = #likeneverbefore by Tom Cenens
- 10 Ways To Continue The #SAPTechEd Conversation When It’s Over by Gerry Moran

Learn All Year-Round with SAP TechEd Online Replays:
SAP TechEd provides a lot of valuable content. Since no one’s agenda can include the full offering of SAP TechEd content offered live during the conference, we record selected sessions and make replays available on SAP TechEd Online so you can catch up on lectures you may have missed to enhance your experience. In addition, anyone registering for TechEd Las Vegas or Amsterdam will also have free access to 30+ SAP TechEd Virtual Hands-On Workshops developed and available online after the in-person events.
Check out this informative summary of some great hot topics from last year’s SAP TechEd LIVE studio in a blog by Brian Bernard and Jason Lax. And learn more about the Virtual Hands-on Workshops from the 2012 SAP TechEd program in this blog from Andreas Wiedemann, one of the technology architects behind the program.

Hi Chip,
Thanks for letting us know about sapteched_2013 Europe. The suspense was beginning to kill me 🙂 .
Very happy to invite everyone to the Netherlands and Amsterdam!
Cheers, Fred
Thanks Fred... Yeah, it was killing me too! 🙂
We've been moving in this direction for many weeks, but it just took a little longer than expected to work out all the final contract details. Finalized last week and so excited to finally get the word out!
We're so excited and looking forward to heading to Amsterdam this year! Such a beautiful city.
Thanks Chip for the great news!

I added it to my personal goals to join #SAPTechEd Europe this year...
Even better that it will be Amsterdam- in the worst case I can travel by myself and with my car! 🙂

Greetings,
Chris
PS: http://www.sapteched.com/home.htm still needs to be updated with the information you just shared!
My first TechEd was in Amsterdam in 2006. It'll be nice to go back! I didn't see much of the city last time - must make plans to fix that this time around 🙂
Steve.
Mine too Steve 🙂 Hope to meet up there this year!
I'm definitely planning to be there. I've already got approval:-) Need to work on travel plans now. Chip Rodgers is it definitely Tue-Fri? Do we know when more details of the schedule will be available? I know, I know, patience... 🙂
Looking forward to hanging out with you Steve.
A shout out to our Dutch Friends:
Start planning some evening activities:
- Bars
- Restaurants
- Soccer? (Ajax vs...)
I'm pretty sure we're going to have a great time
Thanks for the shout out 🙂 .
Don't worry, we're on it!
Hi,
looking forward to meet you there. IT preparations are going well 🙂 .
Michael
I'm booking The Dam now! Nice one.
Hi - Unless I'm being stupid I can't see where in Amsterdam TechEd is. Can anyone help? I want to get hotel booked asap.
Thanks

Hi all,
My apologies on the dates for Amsterdam that I had in my blog. I wrote that Amsterdam would go through Nov 8th, but sessions will wrap up actually on Thursday.
We'll have the celebration night on Thursday night, but no sessions on Friday. We are actually able to accomodate more content sessions this year during the Tues/Weds/Thurs days since we have just one keynote on Tuesday morning and Weds and Thurs will be all-day content with hands-on and lecture sessions.
Here's a link for the full week agenda:

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Chip

Thanks for the clarification. Four days would have been a pleasant surprise, but three is what we all expected:-)
So, flying out on Monday and returning on Friday seems like the right plan.
Steve.
Thanks for the blog and for the clarification. Can't wait to go to TechEd! As Fred said, the suspense about EMEA was beginning to kill us 🙂
Looking forward to meeting you all in Vegas or Amsterdam.
Cheers,
Raquel
I have just booked this hotel: http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-9009-ibis-styles-amsterdam-amstel/index.shtml Not too far from TeshEd venue and looks quite pleasant.
Hi Chip
I'm looking forward to another great experience. SAP TechED has always been very valuable for me the past years. Thanks for mentioning my blog post and looking forward to meet up with everyone again & thrive.
Best regards
Tom
