The Sybase Mobile SDK 2.2 to develop mobile apps for Sybase 2.2 is available for download on SCN. The installation is a wizard guided click through, given that you are installing it on one the supported host operating systems. In case you want to install the SDK 2.2 on another OS like Windows 7 Home Premium, the installer will exit with an error message.

This document shows how to install Sybase Mobile SDK 2.2 on a not supported host operating system.

Unzip the installer files and locate the file SUPContents.ini


Open the file and change the value of OSCheck from 1 to 0.


Now the installer executes and you can install the SDK:

    Nice workaround, does this trick work on Windows 8 pro ? I am guessing it does ๐Ÿ™‚ but probably not officially supported ๐Ÿ™ I will give it a try.
