10 things that caught my attention in portal 7.31

Hi

Just wanted to share my experience as end user for SAP Netweaver Portal 7.31.

So after waiting for long time i got to get the hands on Portal 7.31. Was expecting a lot,had written a blog @ my expectations from 7.3 few months back.

As a end user i noticed the following .

1. First Menu is now non-rooted. we can change the First Menu also by drag and drop.

2. Search button is working  by default.so i just type the service name, it displayes the matching services, select and go..thats good.

3. In Place filters for UWL, Really Nice enahancement.

4. Enhanced Webdynpro java applications. I noticed a tiny calculator in Tax Declartion and Claims app.

5.Works on Chrome Browser, although Adobe forms do not work in Chrome.

6.Nice Out of the Box (OOB) Login Page for Mobile Devices.

7.Portal on Device : Fantastic Framework. although Webdynpro Java apps do not work on Portal on Device.Unless UWL works it is no good for approvers OOB.

8.Now we can include a New Session Button in the  MastHead. Thats a cool Feature :smile:

9.Portal Theme Studio.. This is really Nice.

10.Enhanced Wiki,Forums and WPC features. although WPC is still primitive.

As i write this, 7.4 is made GA. :smile: so let me see when can i get my hands on that ...
