New SAP University Alliances Cross-National Collaboration

New agreement of cooperation between the Chair for Global Business Informatics at the IT University of Copenhagen and the Chair for Information Systems at the Technische Universität München.

This cooperation provides a great opportunity for students of both universities to gain experience in international collaboration. The students will be developing creative approaches for solving ‘real-world’ challenges using the design thinking methodology. Furthermore, students will gain knowledge of the latest SAP technology in both theory and practice.

Lots of motivations lies behind this setup of student's cross-border collaboration. From a student experience perspective this program will help them understand the high complexity of virtual collaborations, not only within the student community but also outside studies. From a student learning perspective this setup also motivates students with different backgrounds to educate other students with their knowledge on e.g. SAP HANA, Sybase Unwired Platform or Design Thinking, which is also highly discussed and used in the SAP ECO-System. Students from both universities are also allowed to incorporate learnings from collaborating with other students into their university projects to enriche content and thereby get better grades.

From a SAP UA learning perspective we are excited to get inside the next generation influencers mindsets and expectations. We expect to gain insights in both student's
virtual behaviors and virtual needs and demands on tools for such a cross-national collaboration. This might inspire our own working environments and collaborative platforms for future articulating work in the virtual space, also to make it more attractive for the next generation influencers working for SAP globally.

Here is the program for this new SAP UA cross-national collaboration between TUM and ITU:
