In the last DevTalks series we’ve talked about the Connectivity Service. The Connectivity Service also supports the sending of emails. During my talk with Stephan Merker he explained how the email functionality is setup.

The most important thing to understand is that the email functionality is not about providing you with an email box, email gateways or the provisioning of related services. It’s about functionality to allow your application to get and send emails via your email provider by using the JavaMail API. In the video you’ll get more details.

For more information you can use the SAP HANA Cloud Platform help page for the Connectivity Service and the related email functionality. Should you have more questions please feel free to reach-out to Stephan Merker or myself. Either via Twitter or via a direct message here on SCN.
