SAP Corporate Giving Program

SAP CSR North America’s corporate giving grant cycle opened on April 1, 2013. To simplify the grant process, SAP will host one mid-year cycle beginning in 2013, replacing the previous spring and fall cycles held in the past. Applications will be accepted online via our grants tool from April 1, 2013 to May 31, 2013.

For more information on submitting an SAP funding request, please see the attached guidelines or visit www.easymatch.com/sapgive.

Grant Writing Tips for Success

Ensure that you have read and understand the SAP CSR guidelines. For any questions, please contact csr.na@sap.com.

Focus your proposal – do not include everything you know; concisely focus on your best ideas for the project or need. Sometimes less is more when framing your requests.

Do not submit a “trust me” proposal. Explain and justify the good work you have done and will do. Explain how this project will impact your organization and how it aligns with SAP CSR’s goals.

Write for an intelligent layperson. Our grants review committee members to be able to recognize that the project is appropriate for the funding source and that you understand the issues and have creative approaches.

Develop credible plans for assessment and dissemination and not just as afterthoughts. How will you know that you have been successful? How can the project be sustained?

Design a realistic project – or a portion of a larger project – that can be accomplished by the end of the grant period.
