I recently had the opportunity to interview Lewis Marsten, who is the CEO at Rocket Consulting, a company who will be delivering a number of sessions at our upcoming Logistics & SCM, PLM, Manufacturing, and Procurement 2013, April 24-26 in Prague.
One of the topics they are presenting on at the conference is SAP Enterprise Warehouse Management, a tool that more and more companies are starting to adopt. In preparation for the event, I wanted to try and get a better understanding of SAP EWM and the key driving factors that would make a company consider this tool and why with a number of options out there available for managing warehouse operations, a company would select EWM. I also wanted to get a better understanding on the scope of this type of implementation.
Lewis provided me with some great insights into supply chain trends and market forces that are driving business to adopt or companies to adopt EWM. He also talked a lot about the types of functionality that are available and to best evaluate the costs and benefits of these.
