Run Better: Learn How to Propel Your Supply Chain at #SAPPHIRENOW Forum

SCP.Forum.BlogPhoto.Fotolia_48494056_XS.jpg

Supply chains move the world. Literally. They are the circulatory system of commerce … transporting items from across the globe or around the corner to store shelves and consumers’ front doors. Every business (and every person) is touched by supply chains. And when this orchestration of movement is disrupted, the ripple effect can be sudden and pervasive. With reported costs of $65 billion, Hurricane Sandy is a sobering reminder.

The dynamics of this dynamically-shifting business area are the feature of the Supply Chain and Procurement Forum at this year’s SAPPHIRE NOW. The forum serves as a unique deep-dive for supply chain and procurement professionals to learn first-hand how new developments, coupled with technology, are unlocking opportunities and value for businesses.

As the social media ambassador for the Business Networks Campus, I’ve extended my job to cover the Supply Chain and Procurement Forum. With the transformative role business networks are playing on buyer and supplier relationships, there will be plenty of provocative and enlightening discussions. Follow me on Twitter @Ariba and @DebCM to stay connected.

The forum series is a new offering at SAPPHIRE NOW and is different from the SAP Forums hosted around the world. The Supply Chain and Procurement Forum takes place May 14 and features 14 different sessions … from theater presentations that cover optimizing procurement and supplier management processes to a variety of microforum discussions on ways to increase agility and speed within your supply chain.

You can learn more about the sessions for the Supply Chain and Procurement Forum at the SAPPHIRE NOW site. Visit the Session Catalog to view a description for each session and to build your SAPPHIRE NOW agenda.

See you in Orlando!
