Introduction

This is the very first grass roots SAP Community event in Czech Republic and with the

goal of bringing SAP professionals primarily from SAP Customers in the Czech Republic

closer together to share information and exchange experiences and ideas in a friendly

informal atmosphere.

The conference language will be (a little) English and (mainly) Czech.

The goal is to make SAP Inside Track Prague a twice yearly event, in summer time and

winter time.

Hopefully this might lead to growth in the SAP Inside Track ‘movement’ in the Czech Republic

and lead to other members of the Czech SAP Community organizing regional Inside Tracks in

other major Czech cities eg, Brno, Ostrava etc.

Agenda Overview

Solution Manager Presentation Overview

  • Prezentuje: Luboš Kalina
    • Název prezentace: Change management – zkušenosti z praxe, zajímavosti a doporučení
      • Anotace:

SAP Solution Manager v.7.1 plně vyhovuje náročným požadavkům řízení změn v tak rozsáhlém

prostředí, jakým je ICT Ministerstva vnitra ČR. Implementace a provoz měly a mají své specifické

znaky.

Automatizace rutinních činností nebyla bezbolestná. Nové trendy např. v oblasti mobilních rozhraní

jsou pro nás dalšími výzvami.

  • Prezentuje: Jiří Zahradníček
    • Název prezentace: Buďte efektivní při testování v prostředí SAP
      • Anotace:

Zákazník: „Co budeme testovat?“.
Dodavatel: „Všechno“. Konverzace tohoto typu již není nutná pokud používáte SAP Solution Manager.
Testování „všeho“ vyžaduje enormní úsilí, je finančně náročné a výsledky nejsou adekvátní.
Často stejně není možné otestovat vše. Volba správné strategie a nástroje vyřeší neustálý

nedostatek  kapacit pro testování. Důsledné používání SOLMAN šetří peníze při testování.

  • Prezentuje: Jiří Palát
    • Název prezentace: Řízení změn v SAP – od plánování po reporting
      • Anotace:

Provozní změna, malá změna, projekt. Vše s dopadem do prostředí SAP. Jak vývoj nových funkcí,

tak změna konfigurace. Požadavky přicházející z různých stran s různou prioritou s různým dopadem.
A vše je třeba řídit tak, aby nebyla ohrožena dostupnost a odezva produktivních systémů.
Nejlépe pak s vazbou na konkrétní systémy a konkrétní objekty. Teoreticky snadné, v praxi

komplikovanější, ale realizovatelné s podporou SAP Solution Manager.

Nice to know you will talk about ChaRM and Test Management. And it’s on my birthday 🙂

What part will be in English? Can we attend online?

Our Inside Tracks in Brazil are also mainly in local language, that’s very important for the community here.

I wish you guys a great event in this beautiful city. I’m gonna visit it once again in May, can’t wait!

    Regards,

    Raquel

      Hi Raquel,

so, happy birthday for the 7th June 🙂

The Inside Track Prague will be majority in Czech language.

Regarding SolMan, the presentations will be very interesting, we’ve lined up some very strong Solution Manager specialists to deliver the SolMan message.

Can we attend online, in short not this time, this is our first Inside Track and we’re trying to keep the technical scope down, as we get more experienced with each Inside Track we will grow the scope of the offering.

      Have fun in May.

      All the best,

      Andy.

      Hi Fred,

I am sure you know, it’s a journey to get to the point where the Blog can be published, we had a mission and a project plan and good people and so far we are on target.

I cannot say enough how useful the HowTo SAP Inside Track Blogs were (thank you to the authors), those blogs are fantastic and made the whole task much easier, especially from the point of planning the project and tasks and sequence of tasks and dependencies.

      Have a great weekend,

      Andy.

      Hi Nigel,

thank you very much, as you can see, I made the logo myself, because the logo generator in the link published in the Inside Track blogs wasn’t working.

I’ll test it and replace what we have.

It’s great to have the generator working again because it maintains the standards and consistency of the look and feel of the brand.

      Thanks,

      Andy.

    Hi,

Preparation of live demo of SOLMAN supporting test and change management is ongoing. We can discuss real benefits of BPCA to speed up creation of test plans.

Great initiative! and very happy to see the Cloud Portal on the agenda.

It might be a bit late, but I would very much recommend to add an additional topic in the mobility section about the SAP NetWeaver Portal, mobile edition (a.k.a: mobile portal). This is a topic that can bring great value to the SAP customers while leveraging existing investment in SAP.

      Hi Aviad,

we won’t be able to fit Mobile Portal into this one, but we plan to do the next SIT Praha in December and hopefully Mobile Portal can have a segment at that one. Maybe I will present it 🙂 we shall see.

You know, I totally agree with you, about leveraging existing investment and hope the Customer base take up Mobile Portal and get even more value from their existing Portal infrastructure.

      All the best,

      Andy.

    Hi Andy,

This Inside Track just crossed my mind again. How did it go? Is there a blog in the making? Would love to hear your experiences!

        Thanks Andy,

Somehow my RSS-reader missed this one, and consequently so did I. Not the first time either…

Read the blog: very well done! And good luck with the next one.

        Cheers, Fred
