SAP UI5 CODEJAM

Montreal, Quebec, Canada

March 21, 2013

Faculty members and technically oriented students from three SAP University Alliances member schools in Montreal, Quebec, Canada attended the “SAP UI5 CodeJam” in Montreal on March 21, 2013. They had a great opportunity to get hands on experience with SAP’s open, flexible, lightweight and easy-to-use HTML5 toolkit, and code, hack and create alongside SAP customers, partners, and other university professors and students.

University Alliances participants included faculty from HEC Montreal and Concordia University, as well as students from Concordia University and Universite du Quebec a Montreal. They met and collaborated with web developers, learning how they use SAP UI5 with its new, attractive HTML5 rendering library for client-side UI rendering and programming. And they experienced how SAP customers can now go beyond the challenges of ‘flash video’ and messy code

The event began with a product overview, and then participants got hands-on with the assistance of SAP product experts who helped them experience developing with SAP UI5 to see the future of user-friendly interfaces in SAP. This helped the students differentiate themselves in a competitive job market.

Thank you for sharing John. It is great to see the effects of SAP’s new focus on user interfaces and usability and how this is driven with UI5 and and the HTML5 toolkit.
