Since March 2012, with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10 SP6, customers have the option to replace their traditional RDBMS systems with SAP HANA for use with SAP NetWeaver. This change introduces a shift of processing from the Application layer to the Database layer
Running SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, version for SAP NetWeaver on SAP HANA tackles the big data challenge, supports near real-time planning and analysis by reducing decision cycle times through real-time insight, and empowers granular planning and scenario modeling for better preparation and more accurate results.
This is done by introducing a new non-disruptive and supplementary software component called HANABPC. HANABPC re-implements some SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, version for SAP NetWeaver functions to be accelerated by HANA while having no dependency on the existing CPMBPC software component used by SAP Business Planning and Consolidation.
