Error message AIST004 raised when maintain asset master data

Symptom

Use transactions of the asset master data maintenance(eg. T-CD: AS02), the error message AIST004 raised sometimes.

Environment

SAP Release Independent.

Cause

After you implement the note 1073002, you can no longer use transactions of the master data maintenance to recalculate the depreciation base values if the the closed fiscal years of different areas differ in more than one year in the company code.

Resolution

1. Check the closed fiscal year in T-code: OAAR. 
2. Open the fiscal years same with depreciation area which have the lowest closed fiscal year. 
3. Perform T-code: AJAB for year end closing again.
