Dr. Jeffery Word (VP of product strategy) walked the wider UAP community through SAP as a giant software company and fired the audience up with a great deal of information on the global ecosystem of customers and partners with special focus on MENA.

Jeff talked about who we are as a company, SAP market share of different lines of business, SAP’s key focus areas on Applications, Analytics, Cloud, Mobility and HANA as a transformational shift in the Database industry.

HANA was the main theme of all sessions and Jeff was able to make all audience amazed by this historical breakthrough technology which can help them be more efficient, smarter, faster when they take business decisions.

Jeff’s session was always followed by an HR speech focusing primarily on the size of SAP MENA and how we grow our business across the region, qualifications and skills needed in the job market, compensations & benefits that SAP

provides employees with and finally a call for action on the YPP and Mawared programs.

The HR session was covered by Stephen Brady (in Dubai Colleges) & Laurent  Samson (in Riyadh) from HR Recruitment in MENA.

We have been receiving invaluable feedback since the roadshow started, here are few of many quotes we got from the UA members:

I would like to thank you and the SAP teams for those very successful presentations yesterday. The feedback that I received from our students has been overwhelmingly positive. The presentations were engaging, interactive, and interesting. These kind of presentations will help us to promote the EC program and we need to conduct several of the same during the year."

Those types of industry-led sessions are of great benefits to our students and professors and it truly strengthens our ties with SAP and the IT industry. We need more of those sessions as we embed the UAP program and reach out to more colleges at HCT.

I work for KPMG and studying Finance at Alfaisal Uni, honestly all what I knew about SAP is the ERP solutions but now I realized it is a huge company and a great place to work for. I’d greatly appreciate if you can help me get enrolled at the YPP program
