How to Add a Filter Panel in Design Studio

This question came up in the discussion forum.  You can also follow the steps described in this Design Studio tutorial http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-33569

It is easy to do and has some nice interactive features for consumers of your Design Studio application.

First, I added a crosstab to my application

From the Analytic Components area, select Filter Panel and drag over to the canvas.

Then assign the data source to the component

Then Execute Locally:

This is how it looks at run time.  Simply select the desired field to filter:

I am only selecting a handful of projects to filter on:
