My sessions at HR2013 (Las Vegas)
This year at HR2013 (Las Vegas), I am making a presentation on Guidelines and best practices for creating a world-class appraisal application. This will be on Thu Feb 28th, between 8.30 AM – 9.45 AM in Da Vince 4. In this presentation, I shall discuss how to create a global template that can accommodate business requirements, as well tips and tricks. I shall discuss about the Implementation Briefcase that will be available to all conference participants. The briefcase contains sample templates, project plan, a go-live readiness checklist, and plenty of sample codes. Typical pain points that are encountered at
the beginning of a HCM PM implementation, is understanding what SAP HCM PM offers, the meaning of different statuses, / sub-statuses, the document flows, choosing between pre-defined and flexible process, as well resource requirements. Many customers are surprises when they realize, the high-number of development objects that need to be completed in a HCM PM implementation. Development colleagues who have never done HCM PM implementation, have a learning curve to understand the table structures, and the dependent relationships. In my session, I shall discuss these as well other pain points, how to mitigate them, as well tips to jumpstart the implementation. Any customer (or implementation team) who are planning or an on-premise HCM PM
implementation or are in the middle of an implementation will find this session very helpful.
On Wed I have a session on E-Recruiting Talent Groups. In this session, I shall discuss about talent groups, what they are, how to leverage talent groups. During the session, I shall touch upon Successfactors Recruiting Marketing, what the product mean, as well what functionalities are available in Successfactors Recruiting Marketing. Every SAP E-Recruiting on-premise customer should take a look at Successfactors Recruiting Marketing. Recruiting Marketing offers functionalities such as social recruiting that is missing in the on-premise solution. SAP E-Recruiting customers who have implemented Recruiting Marketing love the product. This session will be on Wed Feb 27th , between 1.00 PM – 1.45 PM in WIS booth.
I am currently co-authoring my 3rd title for SAP Press. The book is on SAP HCM Infotypes (http://www.sap-press.com/products/SAP-HCM-InfoTypes.html) and covers close to 400 infotypes. Each infotype is explained in detail and contains screen shots, as well the table structure of the infotype. The book also discusses on when to develop custom infotypes, as well lesson learned. SAP Press is hosting a meet-the-authors session on Wed Feb 27th. I will be in that session, and you can meet me in SAPInsider Booth, between 5.45 PM – 6.30 PM.
I expect more on-premise customers to embrace Successfactors as their go-forward solution. Customers are still not fully educated on what to expect from Successfactors solutions – how to implement one, how to refine their business processes to gain efficiency, how to define the Service
Level Agreements (SLA), etc. Security in the cloud is a hot topic for any customer considering Successfactors. This also happens to be one of the reasons, for slow adoption of Successfactors. SAP need to better educate their on-premise customers and alleviate some these doubts.
