In 2012 the International Focus Group for PI (IFG for PI) did a requirement collection and voting for SAP NetWeaver PI. Out of the top 20 requirements 9 got nominated by SAP for the SAP Customer Connection Program. With the Customer Connection Program, SAP has allocated budget and resources to implement new customer requirements based on the current PI product releases.

In addition to the prioritization in 2012, it is now a fundamental requirement that at least 5 SAP customers and partners subscribe to each requirement on SAP’s Customer Influence website, for which we need your support and participation. Otherwise the requirement won’t be selected for implementation.

With the subscription you agree to use the new functionality once it’s available and may also give input during the detailed specification and test phase. The subscription process should be completed till March 8th 2013.

The subscription process works as follows:

  1. Register as a user at SAP Customer Influence
    https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/community/influence/register

If you already have a SCN user – as most of you already do - you logon to SCN in registration step 2 and request access to the Customer Connection Spaces in step 3. After the validation of your request, you will receive an e-mail from SAP whether your access has been granted. The validation could take 1 to 3 days.
  2. Then, go to focus topic PI
    https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/community/influence/cc/pi_
  3. Select relevant improvement request, click on the subscribe button for the relevant request and fill in the requested information.

The button “Like” is not required in case of subscription. It’s only relevant if you want to vote for an improvement request, but don’t want to have any further collaboration with SAP.

Update March 11th 2013:

The subscription period is completed. Thanks a lot to all participants! SAP has now started with the selection phase in which SAP development will analyze the top requirements. The participants who have subscribed to a specific requirement will receive an update about the next steps in the following weeks.
