As you know SAP acquired Success Factors, one of the leading providers in cloud based HR Solutions. Success Factors sell various products from a portfolio – Learning solution (Plateau), Collaboration Platform (JAM), Recruiting solution ( Jobs2Web), Analytics (Inform) and BizSuite comprising of various modules like talent management, compensation management and Employee Central.

 

Employee Central (EC) is a part of the BizSuite,聽 is a cloud based HRIS solution and provides Employee and Employment information. EC is one part of SuccessFactors cloud, which services over 15 million users and 4000 customers globally. This number is continously increasing as we speak now 馃檪 .
A core HR system typically houses employee鈥檚 HR information for global employees. It provides Transactions/Corrections to keep employee鈥檚 HR information up to date. It also allows you to run reports on employee鈥檚 HR information to meet compliance or for business analysis. It also feeds the downstream system with employee鈥檚 HR information. Employee Central provides all this on cloud. It provides a single, global system of record for all workforce data. You can also combine this with talent data to get a more comprehensive and insightful employee profile. It is designed to handle various kind of users – HR, managers, employees and business leaders.

 

With release b1302 Employee Central will support 35 languages(dialects) and 22 countries. Further it can also be integrated with ERP payroll or any other payroll provider. With SAP Cloud Payroll, you can run payroll using Employee Central, as your master data system, as well as data from SAP Financials and third-party providers. When you use SAP Cloud Payroll, you can process payroll for employees in multiple countries while ensuring compliance with local legal regularity and reporting requirements.聽 Employees can see their pay statements and other payroll-related data in Employee Central.

      Hi Murtuza,

      good question. No, Employee Central can not be considered as a replacement for SAP ESS/MSS now. As you would have already noticed that one is for on-demand scenario v/s other is for on-premise. Both the solutions will be supported to address the respective customers.
