Additional Question & Answer (answers provided by SAP):

Q:  Are filters dependent upon already existing filters

ie - if i select a Sales Org, will it/can it  only show me divisions within that sales org?

A:  Within filter panel you can select different filter values and combine them. If one filter is already defined in query designer, you are able to change the values with filter panel in design studio runtime.

Q:  If an info object has a lot  of single values, it takes a long time for the list to come up in WAD/BEx web, is this issue fixed in Design Studio?

A: not aware of this issue in Design Studio

Q:  What are the new chart types that came with 1.1

Q:  Any system process as when dashboard is generating there is a limit of 2gb of system process as like this anything to Design Studio ?

A:  Design Studio is a 32 bit program, so in general a 32-bit program has the limitation of 2 GB of system processes.  Design Studio has Java engine, so administration of Java engine requires also some processes.  So the real effective usable processes for Design Studio could be around 1.5 to 1.6 GB.

Q:  In WAD, we can publish to a portal role.  Will this be available in Design Studio?

A: With Design Studio release 1.0, you can achieve that with the PIT (portal integration Kit).

With Design Studio 1.1, we are going to deliver the NetWeaver BW as platform option. There you will be able to save Design Studio application directly on BW. From there you can publish Design Studio app like WAD to a portal role.
