The file format that you can store are: xls, xlsx, ppt and pptx and is necessary on SAP BW have an role that contain the authorization object R_RS_AO.

To save an workbook on SAP BW is very simple : after the workbbok is developed , selecting the Office Button , is available the function “Save Workbook” and “Save to SAP NetWeaver”.

Then a window appear that permit to choice where save the workbook: in a Role or in the folder “My documents”.

In SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, Analysis objects are stored with object type AAOE (for workbooks) and AAOP (for presentations).

When the user, access to SAP BW by SAP GUI, the workbook will be visible on the menu:

      Hi ,

if you install the latest version of Analysis for Office, this option is available.

Then you need that SAP BW is at least an 7.3 ( see the note mentioned)

        Hi Andrea,

We have the latest version of Analysis installed but surely there is some config needed to backup the option to Save to Netwevaer?

When I hit it I get this:

This function is not supported on the selected system (XXXXXX SSO). A specific SP level is required for the back end.

        Contact your administrator (ID-113002)

        With thanks

          Hi Gill,

yes, is necessary to have an SP level on Netweaver to use this functionality.

Which is the version of BW that are you using with Analysis?

I can save the workbook, but when i opened it again, i can save the data. Even if i changed the data, but the save data button is still greyed out.

The query itself can be used to save the data.

Can you let me know if there is anyting i missed when i saved the report?
