First version of SAP Jam ABAP Integration – Configuration Guide available

The first version of the SAP Jam ABAP Integration – Configuration Guide is now available.

It describes how to set up the connectivity between your AS ABAP system and SAP Jam.

The communication between the ABAP stack and SAP Jam is done using the Social Media ABAP Integration Library (SAIL) as part of SAP_BASIS.

SAIL is available as of SAP_BASIS 7.31 SP 3, 7.30 SP 7 and 7.02 SP 11.

      Hi Christoph,

thank you very much for posting this blog and the respective configuration guide.

The configuration guide is excellent, starting from the very beginning and explaining the how and why of the SAP Jam integration and continuing step by step describing how to complete the task.

I have the feeling that this is currently an area of technology which is under the radar of most people.

This is going to be an interesting journey.

      Thanks and all the best,

      Andy.

p.s. I've added your documentation to the SAP Jam section of the SAP NetWeaver Basis Administrator's Toolbox...

      Hi Andy,

I like to make you aware of an updated configuration guide, which is dedicated to all ABAP systems including SAP_BASIS 7.31 SP 6. You will find it under https://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-36272. You may add it to your toolbox as well.

      Best regards,

      Christoph
