As a board member of the Retail Orphan Initiative, I am proud that SAP is a sponsor of the Super Saturday Analyst Day on January 12, 2013, leading into NRF.  This event is one of The Retail Orphan Initiative’s primary fundraisers with all vendor sponsorships going directly to the Retail Orphan Initiative to help needy children around the world.  In 2011, 94% of all RetailROI donations went directly to helping orphans and vulnerable children.

Somewhere in the world, a child dies every 5.2 seconds due to malnutrition, disease, or neglect and 16,600 orphans die every day.   Donations from Super Saturday will help these children.

SAP will join Retail’s top analysts and C-level executives to learn about the latest data and trends in the retail industry prior to the beginning of NRF.   I am looking forward to connecting with industry peers and learning more about key agenda items like mobility, social media, marketing and technology.
