As a program manager for packaged consulting services for a number of years, I’ve been privileged to have insight into the results SAP and Sybase customers have achieved with the assistance of our consultants to realize the best value from SAP Sybase database products.
I read a lot of consultant engagement reports looking for tips, tricks, and ideas to ensure our services in the SAP Consulting Service Portfolio always have repeatable processes and reusable scripts and samples in order to speed the implementation of the consulting project. I try to spot common situations or problems and find the patterns of resolutions recommended by our worldwide consulting organization and include this information into the service materials so that the next delivery of the service is that much better for the consultant performing the delivery and the customer receiving the service.
And as I do this reading and reviewing of documents, I get to see the ‘results’.
