The SAP BI Product Education team describes Exploration Views in BusinessObjects Explorer as "view sets that enable you to group together multiple visualizations for review and sharing via web browser or mobile device. A view set can contain several different exploration views, each of which can contain different charts, tables, and facets that provide users with valuable information."

Again, this is something I learned at BI4 Elite (with thanks to jens.koerner ingo.hilgefort )

First I created an InfoSpace and then you have the option to create an view set

You can add different visual elements to the Exploration View -either a graph or a table.

Save the Exploration View

In the browser, it looks like the below screen:

What is strange is the formatting of the numbers.

Next, I will view this from my iPad:

Notice in the middle screen I can interact with it by selecting different graphs, measures and dimensions (if part of the InfoSpace)

Also note that the numbers are better formatted on my mobile device than in the browser.

Other things you can do with the Exploration View is send by mail, refresh data, and add to personal views:
