Last year was the first time I attended SAP Insider's BI Conference and I wrote about it here.  I had a great time at the event, and more importantly, I learned a great deal to bring back to my company.  This year I plan on attending again

The SAP BI 2013 Conference will be in Las Vegas from March 19-22 at the MGM Grand and is considered a premier event for SAP BI professionals, consultants and customers.  The program includes more than 130 in-depth educational sessions, hands-on labs, ask the expert sessions, interactive discussion forums, networking events and live demos . The event will bring out some of the smartest and most well respected individuals and customers in the SAP business intelligence, analytics and reporting communities. I will be attending this year and look forward to presenting a case study session on embedded SAP BusinessObjects analytic capabilities.  I’ll also be joining Penny Silvia from IBM, Steven Krandel from Intuit and Jason Rose from SAP for what promises to be an enlightening discussion on Keeping up with the rapid BI changes at SAP: It is possible!

I am also happy to announce special discount code, which will provide a $400 discount up to January 18, 2013

Program Content - There will be over 130 sessions that cover core areas such as BI implementations and upgrades, SAP HANA, SAP BusinessObjects, Self-service BI, business analytics, date management and integration, reporting and much more. There is truly something for everyone, and it is being held along side of the Financials 2013, Admin & Infrastructure 2013 and GRC 2013 – all sessions are open to attendees at BI 2013.

Case studies – Gain first hand insight and experiences from Shell International, Schwan Food, Lexmark International, 3M, Intuit, Valero Energy…. and many more.

Networking - One of the under rated parts of any SAP event and something I always find most useful is networking. The BI2013 event is a great opportunity to network with peers and meet new people. The who’s who of the SAP BI industry will be at this event looking to swap war stories and business cards, connect on LinkedIn and Twitter and share information as well as discuss the sessions from each day.  Last year I spent both nights at the Meet the Experts table, and learned a lot from SAP experts such as SAP Mentor ingo.hilgefort

Hopefully I have outlined why you should attend the BI2013 conference and the conference producers have thought of everything as they even have a Convince your Boss template that you can use to help get budget approval. If you are an SAP BusinessObjects user or provide technical support for SAP BusinessObjects BI this is one event that you won’t want to miss and don’t forget to sign up via this link to save an extra $400 before January 18, 2013.

Lastly, the SAP Insider conference team is full of professionals, who are dedicated to ensure you will have a great conference experience.  Follow hashtag #BI2013 on twitter.

So what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas - you will bring home knowledge to apply tangible results to your BI applications.
