An Early Start to Holiday Cheer for SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management


It was the month of November and there were no reindeer in the sky, but the SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management solution got an early Holiday gift.  For the first time, SAP was named as a  leader in Gartner’s 2012 Magic Quadrant for Integrated Revenue and Customer Management for CSPs for its scalable and flexible order-to-cash solution.

Along with three other solutions that have historically been recognized as leaders, the SAP BRIM solution was acknowledged by the analysts for the company’s ability to execute and its completeness  of vision.

Like good little boys and girls around the world, the SAP Billing Revenue and Innovation Management (BRIM) team were working hard all year long, creating joyful customers as they helped CSPs manage more and more complex pricing and billing issues that are market drivers:  the need for partner settlement, dynamic pricing, direct operator billing, integrating new technologies (such as M2M and smart grid companies) and cloud services. These challenges are met by the SAP BRIM solution  through its versatile and configurable rating and pricing engine among other features.  This and the solution’s appeal across 24 industries in addition to CSPs is why we believe we were placed as a  Leader within Gartner’s Magic Quadrant, like a gift under the proverbial yuletide tree.

There were no stockings hung out with care, but the announcement made it seem like Santa had come a little early at SAP BRIM headquarters, and now we’re eager to see what the future will bring.  SAP’s IRCM portfolio has a clear and ambitious road map and part of that roadmap includes taking advantage of recently launched HANA for real-time analytics and usage functionalities.
