SAP TechEd 2012 in Shanghai was a blast!

Taking a page from my idol’s  (Christopher Kim) playbook, I’m also giving you this inside and onsite look at TechEd in Shanghai (which took place December 4-5, at the Shanghai International Conference Center). Pardon the stitched together look of this video (call it “mobile artistry”) – plus I don’t have Chris’ stamina to do this all in one take. ๐Ÿ˜† (Therefore, great big kowtow to Master Kim).

There were over 100 lectures, 10 hands-on workshops (+50% on HANA), Partner Summit and University Alliance events, etc. at Shanghai’s TechEd this year. Over 2,400 attendees joined the event. This is still smaller than other SAP TechEds (Las Vegas, Madrid, Bangalore). However, it is a record for China. Considering attendance was just 1,200 a couple of years, I think you can imagine how steep this growth curve is. Also, if you’ve been following the news on SAP in China, you’ll know there’s phenomenal growth in this region.

Enough stats, here’s the video:

I’m tapping this out on my iPad in the Pudong International Airport in Shanghai. Hope it gets published soon!

Do you see SAP TechEd Shanghai in your future? I hope so. Looking forward to seeing you at an upcoming SAP TechEd event.

      Hi Simon,

Thanks! I really think you could play a big role at the event in Shanghai. Much of the session content and interactions are in Mandarin. Beyond that, there are some great opportunities for you to share your experiences in user groups, online and in-person engagements, Analytics and BI knowledge, and mentoring other SAP Mentors. ๐Ÿ˜€

Would love to see you there!
