Afaria Supportability for Andriod

We have recieved many questions around Afaria supportability for Android based devices. Here is some more information that covers what admin functionality is available on which platform.
The 3 main Hardware players are:

  

1) Samsung

 

2) Motorola

 

3) All other Android Based Devices (Basic Level Administration)

Samsung

Afaria 7.0 Supports:

Basic level administration + Samsung specific administration

Motorola

Afaria 7.0 Supports:
Basic level administration + Motorola specific administration

All Other Devices

Afaria 7.0 Supports:
Only basic level administration

What the levels of Administration Include:

 

Basic Level Administration

Includes Password level setting, Bluetooth settings, Wireless LAN settings, Device Communication settings (Relay Server configuration settings)

Motorola Android Based Devices

Includes Basic level administration settings + Certification configuration settings, EAS Configuration settings and VPN Configuration settings.

Samsung Based Devices

Includes Basic level administration settings + Application Policy (white list , black list), Exchange Account Policy, Firewall Policy, Location Policy, Restriction Policy, Roaming Policy and Security Policy (encryption of SD card and the device)
