Business Objects Analysis – named user license

We are progressing towards purchasing Business Objects Analysis for Office and have questions concerned Named user licenses. Do we need any named user license or would the regualr user license suffice?  Also it looks like you need to purchase additional licenses for Zen or Design studio.  Has anyone else had these questions.

We are not a current business objects user – we are planning to use Analysis to replace Bex.

thanks for all responses.

I think each customer's licensing situation is unique

Depending on volume you can get named user licenses or concurrent user licenses - I recommend asking SAP about both options

Overall it is best you discuss this with your account rep

In terms of Design Studio please watch this video

thanks for the quick response.  The named user licenses are developer type licenses vs user license and I was wondering if anyone bought developer type licenses with analysis office.  I would think there is nothing to develop. I am trying to get verifying info to confirm with our sales rep.

Is there a video for analysis pricing?

      Thanks

I am not aware of any difference between developer versus user licenses for Analysis Office (nor am I aware of any video)

However I am not a licensing expert - just a SAP customer

You could develop VB with Analysis Office or just simply use it as is.  I believe the licenses are the same for both.

      Good luck
