SAP TechEd Bangalore 2012 – Getting Ready!!!

SAP TechEd Bangalore 2012 countdown already started, only 5 more days left. I hope all the speakers, customers, partners, exhibitors, presenters, developers and more important the participants are getting ready now, obviously I make myself ready for both mentally and physically to attend such a great event. Some of them might attend the event first time. few of them are regular in every year, whom so ever Sap TechEd has lots of new things in every year for every one and every place is Unique, so what is special in SAP TechEd 2012 Bangalore? What is my expectation for SAP TechEd 2012 Bangalore?

Executive Key Note

As you aware or not, this time SAP Executive key note will be provided by Bjoern Goerke, Executive Vice President and Corporate Officer Technology and Innovation Platform Core in Bangalore. I listened some of his interview and session from 2011/2010 Virtual TehcEd. I am happy to listen from him directly. Might be this key note also would focus on hot areas like cloud, analytics, mobile, But my expectation would be on the areas as upcoming innovations on ABAP and Java technologies, business process management, Life cycle management and also about Design thinking. Since he is initially from technical side, might expect these areas also in Keynote.

And every year there should be one local SAP India Labs initiation would be captured in keynote (Last year, it was Project ChariTa), might be we can expect some other new initiation from SAP Labs India. This is also another interesting thing for me.

Guest Keynote

This one hour session always special, the guest would be one of the real world hero. This time it is V.V.S Laxman, the former Indian cricketer, you may think what is the cricketer would be going to do with this technical conference; but they have wonderful lessons for us. I was amazed when I heard the inspirational key note from Anil Kumble (Guest Speaker for Last year TechEd, also a cricketer). They are the real time heroes. We need to learn a lot of things from these sports persons, staring from personal involvement, passion, career, team spirit, accepting failure, moving ahead and also creativity etc… Waiting to hear more from him…..

What is new in Clubhouse?

Clubhouse is the place for relax, it has inbuilt cafe. It also has lots of hands on Pods, but quite different from Technical Showcase pods in other areas. If you want a break, enter into Clubhouse. In addition to SCN booth, this year, we have Photo shoot, where SCN members can take their professional shot. Indeed it is cool idea 🙂

Like last year, we have solution manager 7.1 showcases, but this time it was challenge to all, The title itself increasing my curiosity,

Heroes: Can You Beat the “SolMan”?

And for those who miss the Data Geek Challenge, SAP Visual Intelligence booth arranged on time entry, would love to meet the sapvisi developers team over there.

Demo Jam

There are 6 demos are shortlisted for demo jam, but my eyes are on Cognitive Analysis Game, it is the special game designed for Autistic children, since I am interested in teaching computer to the autistic children on my free time, this would be more relevant and more meaningful for me.

SAP Mentors/ Networking

This is the first TechEd, I am participating as SAP mentor, obviously would like to meet the other sap mentors and share the ideas, latest trends with them. And love to meet all TechEd attendees.

For all, SAP mentors are easily approachable, if you met anyone with the mentor shirt, don’t hesitate to say “hello” , they have always something to share 🙂

Break Out sessions

In this year, my interest is on SAP HANA, Dashboards, Analytics, Sustainable IT and BO areas. I planned my agenda clearly on last week itself.

Small guidance from my past experience is “Please Plan Your Agenda Before”, though lots of important sessions are clasping, but identify your priority and plan accordingly. And very important, before leave from the session, “Please Remember To Take All Your Belongings ( Hand Phones, wallets etc ..)With You”.

SAP live studio

This for virtual participants, but it is always interetting to listen the interview of some of the most influenced people in SAP. Check out the broad cost schedule here SAP TechEd

SCNootties

On the movement of Empathy, I love the Idea of SCNotties. It was the tremendous support and motivation from Jim SpathJim Spath, I also participated this year, I am not good in video making, even this is my first video, tried with my HTC. It was pure fun, we spent almost 1 hour for making this 30 seconds video. Worst case, I just tried!! Now understood, How difficult to make a movie!! 🙂

If you doesn’t posted one yet, please create one and enter here SAP Community Network Wiki – Contributor Corner – 30 Seconds of Recognition 2012 – Bangalore Edition

Fun & Party

If you are night bird, plan for SAP TechEd party on 28th Nov 8:15 PM to 10:00 PM with Simon Pierro. Dont miss!

Now with all this, I am perfectly ready, I packed my baggage not only with air tickets and but also with clear agenda, my SCNotty video and also carrying small and big expectation for this wonderful event.

Looking forward to meet you all at SAP TechEd Bangalore 2012, till then Eat healthy, Sleep well and Get ready!!! 🙂

      Hi Jansi,

thanks for this informative write-up about the upcoming SAP TechEd in Bengaluru!

      I'm really excited to attend!

Knowing Bjoern Goerke I think we can expect a great keynote with lot's of interesting topics as you pointed out already. News about SAP NetWeaver are in for sure 😉

I'll probably hang out at the Clubhouse as much as I can as "networking is where it's at" for me. Demo Jam is a must-attend of every SAP TechEd and I'm sure are looking forward to see whether or not SAP NetWeaver Cloud can pull it off to be the technology of choice on yet another Demo Jam 😉

So, I'm already packing my bags as I'm scheduled to help run the InnoJam prior to SAP TechEd - if you're interested in getting your hands on the latest SAP technologies and spend two days with your peers in a cool environment - then you should not miss out!!!

See you all very soon - safe travels everyone!

      Cheers,

      Matthias
