Applying Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 Patch SP28
I would like to share my experience with Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 , patching to SP28.
In my case source level was SP21, as a result I have applied SP stack SP22 to SP28.Most important observation was dependency of certain SP level on ST-SERV 701_2001_1 , ST/A-PI and BI-CONT components and the sequence I need to follow while applying patches. Apart from these dependency and sequence I have noticed add-on installation tool (SAINT) took care most of the support pack. Please find the detail step-by-step procedure for applying SP22 to SP28.

I have applied in the following sequence
Sequence of Steps
1. Apply SPAM update ( level 47)
2. Apply ABAP patch
2.1 Apply SP stack 22 ( all components )
2.2 Apply ST-SER and ST-A/PI main component ( SP23 has dependency on these two components).
2.2.1 Apply ST-A/PI_( 01N_700SOL) main component.
2.2.2 Now Apply ST-PI SP02 (dependency for ST-SER 701_2001_1
2.2.3 Apply ST-SERVE 701_2001_1 main component.
2.3 Apply ABAP patch SP23 to SP26 (togather)
2.4 Apply BI-CONT patch 705 ( SP27 has dependency on BI-CON:706)
2.5 Apply BI-CONT SP06 + ST-BCO 400 patch + SP27 ( This step need to perform through SAINT).
2.6 Apply ABAP patch SP28
2.7 Apply non-dependent components
3. Apply Java Patch SP10
3.1 Apply JSPM patch
3.2 Apply NW 701 SP10 for Java stack
4. Post Processing task
4.2 Perform all SOLMAN_SETUP tasks ( apply central OSS note 1635809)
