Now you can get a Treasury Solution in just 12 weeks

The thoughts about implementing a new treasury system can make many treasurers sweat and cause them many sleepless nights. There are numerous horror stories about implementations gone bad, lasting much longer than anticipated, with budget overruns, and in the end the consultants didn’t deliver what they had promised.

However, SAP has come up with a new ‘medicine’ to cure this problem and it is called SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions.

SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions contain preconfigured software, implementation services, content, and end user enablement.

But the most innovative part is that the project is delivered at a fixed price.

SAP and several of SAP’s partners have committed to offer the implementation with the following pledge:

  • Fixed project price
  • Fixed functional scope
  • Fixed project timeline

The rapid-deployment methodology has been used in hundreds of implementation projects within different areas such as CRM, HCM, Mobility, & Analytics. And now, the rapid-deployment methodology has also been applied to SAP Treasury and Risk Management – allowing you go live in as little as 12 weeks!

The Rapid Deployment Project

The 3 key criteria for a successful treasury implementation project are:

  1. A well-defined scope
  2. A realistic project plan
  3. A clear distribution of responsibilities and tasks between the customer and the consultant

SAP Rapid-Deployment Solutions contain all this, plus more!

All SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions are bundled packages containing great materials such as automated configuration content, templates, guides for consultants, a project plan with allocation of work between consultants and the customer, as well as training material and end user documentation in addition to test scripts.

With this package in hand you can speed up the project as well as better determine the project plan and timeline. Therefore it can be offered it at a fixed price and fixed timeline which that almost eliminates the project risk.

Using the rapid deployment solution guarantees you a successful and quick treasury implementation. Allowing treasurers to sleep well at night 🙂

The Rapid Deployment Scope

The SAP Treasury and Risk Management rapid-deployment solution supports the following instruments:

  • Money Market investments and borrowings
  • FX spot, forward, swap and non-deliverable forward
  • Interest rate swap
  • Loans

The full SAP Treasury and Risk Management solution supports many more instruments than those listed above, and they can also be implemented in addition to the rapid-deployment solution as a normal project.

In scope of the rapid-deployment solution are also the Credit Risk Analyzer for the limit management and the Market Risk Analyzer to calculate important key figures such as the fair value and basis point value or a position. Also in scope, is the standard process for the instruments from creation of the deal to the maturity as shown with support for SWIFT MT correspondence messages as well as accounting support for IFRS, US GAAP, and GERMAN HGB.

      Hello Greg,

We have two versions of the SAP Treasury and Risk Management rapid-deployment solution.

Version 1 is for Enhancement Package 4

Version 2 is for Enhancement Package 5 and 6

However, even if you are on a lower Enhancement Package you can still use lots of the material and accelerators developed for version 1 and 2. Therefore you can still benefit from the rapid deployment solution, even though you may not benefit in full, for example through the automatic customizing of solution.

You can find more information in the public domain about the rapid deployment solution here:

If you are a partner or a customer and have access to SAP’s Service Marketplace you can get even more information here:

      Kind regards,
