SUP Performance, Tuning and Testing

1. Performance

Sybase Unwired Platform 2.1.3 Performance Guide
This document on Performance of a Sybase Unwired Platform covering both the replication and the messaging servers. The purpose of the sizing document is to provide a high level estimation of server processing power termed in SAPS based on a single reference scenario with a fixed data model. Sizing provides the relationship between the fixed data model and processing power but does not provide any hints as to behavior beyond the SAPS values. This document attempts to provide some adjacent data points and examples of their usage in the context of sizing.

2. Sizing Guide

Sybase Unwired Platform 2.1.3 Sizing Guide
This document is designed for service providers and enterprises that plan to deploy Sybase – Unwired Platform (SUP) and need to understand the different technology options and sizing considerations. Making these assessments and decisions early in the process is essential in ensuring a successful project rollout.

3. Testing

Document (again slightly out of date) is intended to explain the current tools available for testing mobile applications built using the Sybase Unwired Platform.
SAP “How-to” Guides are intended to simplify the product implementtation. While specific product features and procedures typically are explained in a practical business context, it is not implied that those features and procedures are the only approach in solving a specific business problem using SUP Sybase Unwired Platform.

Hi David Clavey , thanks for this post, but the documents are very out of date.  The newer ones are posted here: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-8803#section24, would be great if you can update links?

      Best,

      Stan
