New things have come in SAP Visual Intelligence 1.0.7

You can update automatically using the Help > Check for new updates

Also notice that it supports the 3.x Universes

You can also edit the query - e.g. remove columns

You can also use the data manipulation tool for type conversion (date, number, text)

Other new features:

  • 32 bit version - I have not tried, but I understand it works with 32 bit Windows 2007
  • Level-based HANA hierarchy support
  • Removal of 15m cell limitation at acquisition time for offline sources (Note: per SAP, users get a warning popup if dataset has more than 30m cells) and the 15M cell limit still applies to Universes)
  • Define schema and name when publishing dataset to HANA
  • Ability to change the application's preferred font type and size

You can try Visual Intelligence and enter the Data Geek Contest (which ends November 30th) by going to sap.com/datageek
