SAPPHIRE NOW – Roundup of Day One & Outlook for Day Two

Today SAPPHIRE NOW in Madrid started big time! Bill McDermott and Jim Hagemann Snabe have set the stage with their keynote speeches. After that the showfloor filled up. Just take a look at the before and after comparison of our SAP Active Global Support Center in hall 9:

We had a lot of great microforum sessions today, for instance focusing on SAP HANA explaining how you can get ready to operate your IT landscape with SAP HANA and how you can streamline the implementation of SAP HANA with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

SAP Solution Manager of course is the centerpiece of SAP’s ALM approach. In one session Marc Oliver Schäfer and Matthias Melich from the SAP Solution Manager Solution Management (no kidding, please also see my posting from Orlando’s conference) demonstrated how the new management dashboards will add value. So if you think that SAP Solution Manager is rather technical or even dry stuff but not hip, then think again! Just take a look at this executive scorecard for an Apple iPad which is available by different roles such as CIO and Head of Operations. This definitely has some swag!

So what do we have planned for tomorrow? Due to the strike in Madrid it’ll be rather quiet? Not at our booth! Here’s a list of microforum sessions taking place at the SAP Active Global Support Center on Wednesday:
