SAP TechEd Madrid 2012 – Day 1 (SAP NetWeaver Gateway @ TechEd)

First day at TechEd is always a special day even if you arrived one or two days early the official start of the event is another story. For thos of us who prepared something for the event it will prove if it really worked for the rest it is the start of an interesting journey through sessions and information.

Being in SAP NetWeaver Gateway Product Management I would like to focus on Gateway and spare you with information on the excellent keynotes which can be found tomorrw online here (Bill McDermott & Jim Hagemann Snabe) and on Friday here (Vishal Sikka).

SAP NetWeaver Gateway Sessions

Today we had three great sessions around SAP NetWeaver Gateway:

Starting with SAP NetWeaver Gateway Overview – Roadmap and Strategy (TEC107) at 12:45 pm to set the stage we later allowed people to get hands on in our session at 2 pm (SAP NetWeaver Gateway development for beginners / CD160).

The day was then closed by a Q&A session at 5:30 pm for the roadmap session (CD824).

As you can see from the picture below the sessions where a huge success.

Further information on upcoming events around SAP NetWeaver Gateway and Duet Enterprise can be found in these great blogs:

1) SAP NetWeaver Gateway at SAP TechEd in Madrid

2) Meet Duet Enterprise at Teched and SAPPHIRE Madrid

My personal recommendation:

Thu 09:00-09:30 Partner Networking sessions for SAP NetWeaver Gateway , Lounge 2, Hall 8 with 2BM, BridgingIT and Comprise IT.

SAP NetWeaver Gateway Pod

Now this is something that you definetly don’t want to miss but then again you most likely will miss it: The SAP NetWeaver Gateway Pod – ok it is for Duet Enterprise and SAP NetWeaver Portal as well, even better – however it is situated at the far end of hall 10 and even if you are looking for it you may miss it.

So let me tell you where to find it. Just head to the opposite side of hall 10 when entering it and then turn around you should be able to see it. It is located nearly at the center of the hall and facing the rear wall of hall 10 (DT 502):

The experts there can provide you with the latest and greatest on the mentioned products and are prepared to answer you every question. And – as you can see on the picture – always keep smiling.

So hoping to see you there.

My blogs wouldn’t be complete with a final more personal observation and thus let me share with you the fact that even robotic live now is interested in SAP Software:
