With more than 10,000 participants at SAPPHIRE NOW and SAP TechEd in Madrid (November 13-16), the event was a big success for SAP and also for the University Alliances team. Nearly 80 professors in the SAP University Alliances program and over 20 students accepted our invitation to participate in Madrid. The event brought together participants from universities in Austria, Belarus, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Russia, Spain, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, UAE, and UK. University Alliances students for the first time were part of the pre-conference program SAP InnoJam. Furthermore, professors meetings and a guided SAP HANA ® tours onsite was offered to the academic audience. Highlight was the signing with the 1300th university worldwide: the University of Applied Management Studies in Mannheim. Member faculty considered the event as very successful and highly diverse, with many interesting presentations and possibilities for networking. They were engaged about future curricula and the usage of SAP software in research and education at their academic institutions with a focus on SAP HANA ®. Next EMEA student and professors event will be the UA Event/CodeJam session in Moscow for 50 student and 50 professors in Mid-December.
