Can I Please “LoB” a Few More Details Into Your SAPPHIRE NOW Agenda?
Howdy folks. Since I’ll be teaming up with fellow social media ambassador Sarah Kellman to cover the Line of Business (LoB) campus at SAPPHIRE NOW Madrid (yes, it’s that big) I thought it would be a good idea to, ahem, LoB a few more details your way before the big show.
1. Do not – I repeat – DO NOT miss the Nestlé session (#IL1537) to learn how the company is deploying a global transportation management platform based on SAP software. Patrick Chartron from Nestlé will explain how SAP Transportation Management enables the company to reduce transport spend, limit empty miles, conserve environmental resources, and better collaborate with carriers.
2. If you want to see the future of Supply Chain software, keep an eye out for a really cool demo called “Get Your Demand-Driven Supply Chain Powered by SAP HANA” (#IL1534). Jan Heerema from SAP will show how to rapidly sense changes in demand, realign your unified demand and supply plan and drive rapid consensus based on new applications powered by SAP HANA. The idea is to bring together people, terabytes of data, and the analytics you need.
3. Human Capital Management (HCM) sessions you can’t miss include “Discover New Deployment Options for HR Solutions”, including Core HR in the Cloud, “Succeed with Global HR Solutions and Shared Services” and “Bridge the Gap from Strategy to Results with Talent Management.” And since HR Planning and Analytics solutions are changing the way companies are managing talent, workforce risk, and people-related activities across the entire enterprise, you really should read Monica Barron’s blog, “Human Capital Management at SAPPHIRE Now” and let her know what you think. Or ask her a question. Or buy her a cup of coffee when you see her in Madrid.
4. Scratch that Procurement itch with customer case studies like Vodafone (#IL1624), SEAT, GESIS, United Utilities and ArcelorMittal. Keep an eye out for a brand new user interface for self-service procurement within SAP Supplier Relationship Management (#IL1629) that will be showcased in the procurement test drive area, demo stations and demo theatre sessions. Ditto for mobile solutions. Innovations in supplier lifecycle management and commodity procurement will discussed in microforum discussions.
Now it’s your turn to LoB questions and comments below. And don’t forget to follow me on Twitter @TClark01 or Sarah Kellman @Amsterdamsel for the latest and greatest LoB updates.
See you in Madrid!
